Is it necessary to undergo the 50 Hrs. Life Insurance Training?
Under the provisions of IRDA (Licensing of Insurance Agents) Regulations 2000, every individual willing to take up the Life Insurance Agency, must have undergone a Practical Training for at least 50 Hrs. in Life Insurance, on syllabus prescribed by IRDA

What are the pre-requisites prescribed to take up the Life Insurance Agency?
The individual willing to take up the Life Insurance Agency, should qualify the pre-requisites as laid down by IRDA. The basic pre-requisites are : The Individual should be of minimum 18 years of age; He/she should have passed the minimum 12th standard if he/she is appointed in a place having a population of 5,000 or more, otherwise 10th standard pass; The individual should have undergone a Practical Training for at least 50 hours in Life Insurance
 
What are the various modes of undergoing the IRDA prescribed Life Insurance Training?
The IRDA prescribed Life Insurance Training can be undergone either through Classroom Training or Online Training. The conventional classroom training involves spending 8-10 days at the institute for training. In Online Training, you will be provided with a 'User ID' and 'Password' for logging into the training portal. You can visit the portal at the time most convenient to you
 
Do the syllabus for Online Training and Classroom Training differ?
No, the syllabus for IRDA prescribed 50 Hrs. Life Insurance Training remains the same whether you undertake Classroom Training or Online Training
 
Do I need to learn any special software to undergo Online Training?
Only basic Computer Knowledge is necessary to undergo the Online Training
 
What are the specific Time Limitations on the Online Training Course?
The IRDA prescribed Life Insurance Training Course duration should be a minimum of 8 days for 50 Hours training, with a maximum of 8 hours per day. The maximum time permissible for completion of training will be 15 days
 
If the learner faces a problem while undergoing the Online Training or needs clarifications on a particular topic, to whom does he approach?
The Online Training Portal is provided with the facility for interaction between the learner and the instructor. This is made possible through: E-Mail Chat-Room/Discussion Forum
 
Whom to Contact while Applying for Bima Jyoti?
Verification & Completion of the basic documents (AGENCY LICENSING DOCKET) is done by the Divisional Sales Admin Executive (at Divisional/ Branch Office) . The Branch Manager/Divisional Manager/Training Manager may also be contacted for guidance & necessary Assistance.
 
How I can Start the Online Training ?
The BIMA JYOTI team(At HO) generates the User IDs and Passwords on daily basis and sends it to candidates Email ID . When the candidates complete the training, the necessary formalities are completed in the IRDA portal to enable them to appear for the III pre licensing examination.
 
As this is an online Training if there is any system Problem (Web Related) who will extend the Support?
The candidates have to directly contact the BIMAJYOTI for any technical support(Web Administrator) for issues such as log in problems, password related issues etc.
 
What will happen if I could not clear the Test /Surprise Test in between the Chapters?
A captcha challenge is posed to you at random intervals. This can be a combination of letters and digits challenges. You have to respond to the challenge within a pre-defined time and if the answer is incorrect then you will not be allowed to progress with the training. After completion of all the chapters a Final Test must be appeared
 
As the Password supplied to me is valid for only 4 hours, what will happen if I could not complete the study of a chapter within the Time frame ? Should I have to start from the Beginning?
Study Session should be restricted to four hours and after expiry of each session a new password should be generated and sent to You through SMS only. You can start directly from the point where you have left . No need to start from the beginning.
 
If I complete the study of a particular chapter before the Time allotted can I go to the next chapter or I have to wait till the time Expires?
Although you have completed the study of a particular chapter before the time allotted, still you can not go to the next chapter . You have to wait till the time Expires & Pop up reflecting the time spent & to be spent will be displayed at the right hand side of your computer screen

While going through the Training of Bima Jyoti you should not browse any other Sites.
 
Is there any specific location to undertake the Online Training?
A learner can take up the Online Training - ANYTIME & ANYWHERE. All you need is a computer with Internet facility
 
What is 50 Hours Training?
Regulation 6 of Agents Regulation stipulates that every applicant for Life insurance Agency must have passed an Examination (IRDA Pre Recruitment Examination) . One of the pre requisite to appear on this Examination is that the Applicant must have undergone through a Training for a period of 50 Hour by an approved Accredited Training Institute (ATI)of IRDA)

The first in-house online training portal by any Private Life Insurer in India, it facilitates the 50/25 hours pre-licensing Training as prescribed by IRDA . This course is totally developed based on IRDA specification
 
When should I start & when should I complete the Online Training ?
After receiving the User ID & Passwords you can start the Online Training . You should have your own E-mail ID and mobile number. The validity of the account generated in the portal expires after 14 days from the first login and it is required that You should complete the training within 14 days
 
Where should I take this Online Training ?
You can take up the Online Training - ANYTIME & ANYWHERE. All you need is a computer with Internet facility
 
During the Training, if I face any difficulty in understanding the subject who will extend the Support ?
The Online Training Portal is provided with the facility for interaction between you and the instructor. This is made possible through: E-Mail, Chat-Room/Discussion Forum & Off line queries
 
How I will come to know that I have completed the Training?
When you log on to the Portal, Training Progress Bar will be displayed in multi colors with Percentage of Training Completion. The Pop up displayed at the right hand side of your computer screen will let you know the hours of Training completed by you
 
After successful completion of Online Training, will I get any Training Completion Certificate?
After successful completion of Online Training The Details will be updated in the IRDA Portal
 
As a normal practice after completion of Bima Jyoti Online Training when should I appear for the III Pre Recruitment Test ?
After successful completion of Online Training you can appear for the III Pre Recruitment Test at any point of Time but, before 6 month of date of completion of Training
 
If I could not complete the 50 hour Training within the 14 days (Say I completed 30 Hours only) should I will be allowed to complete the remaining 20 Hours Training or I have to start afresh ?
You have to start the 50 Hour Training Afresh if you could not complete the 5o Hour Training within the 14 days Time period from the date of Start
 
If I could not clear the IRDA Test in the first attempt, should I have to repeat the Training or I can directly appear the Test ?
If you could not clear the IRDA Test in the first attempt, then you can directly appear the Test before 6 month of date of completion of Training
